Reset in the New Year

Before starting the reset I had been going through a very stressful time in my life. I was smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day. I was drinking at least 8-10 large coffees daily with extra caramel swirl as a sweetener. Most days coffee was the only liquid I consumed. I was also skipping meals, eating maybe one meal a day, and eating sugary candy throughout the day for energy. I did exercise to some extent but was definitely not feeling very healthy or energetic. I really wanted to develop healthier habits, but was finding it very difficult to make the necessary changes on my own. I would tell my self I was going to start being healthy tomorrow, but when tomorrow came I would put it off again and again! I guess you could say I was in a rut! I was looking for something to get me motivated and on the right track to becoming healthy.

After speaking to a Beachbody coach who had previously done the reset and seeing how great she looked and felt, I decided I wanted that for myself! I wanted to feel better, look better, and learn how to make healthy food choices so that my body had the right kinds of fuel to keep it running at its best. I chose the Ultimate Reset because I wanted to quit smoking, quit drinking coffee, and eat healthier. I wanted to have more energy. I figured it would be a great way to start fresh and totally reset my body. The Ultimate Reset gave me the direction and support I needed to rid myself of my bad habits and replace them with new healthy ones. The Ultimate Reset was exactly what I needed to get out of my rut and onto a happier and healthier path in life!

The greatest challenge I faced before beginning the reset was quitting smoking. I hated the fact that I could not quit. I made several attempts using nicotine replacement products and failed miserably each time. Doing the Ultimate Reset it made quitting much easier than it had ever been in the past. I quit smoking on day 1 of the reset cold turkey. The first 3 days were difficult to some extent, but after the 3rd day I really didn't miss them at all. I also quit drinking coffee when I started the reset. My lifelong sugar addiction was alleviated! The Ultimate reset helped me to realize how much better my body felt when I was only putting healthy foods into it! Instead of craving candy & cigarettes, I was craving fruits and vegetables. The Ultimate Reset provided me with a great plan, a great coach, and all the support that I needed to be successful. I quit smoking & eating sugary foods all while losing 17.3 lbs. during and an additional 3lbs after = 20lbs total!!

What I liked most about the reset was the way everything was all planned out for you. The recipes were very easy to follow. The food was delicious! I ate foods that I had never even heard of before, let alone tried. It gave me the structure I needed to finally break my bad habits! The support that was available to me all throughout the reset was great. I knew I could get answers to any questions or concerns I had by my coach, the Beachbody website, or on the facebook group pages anytime day or night. 

After completing the Ultimate Reset I feel incredible!! I wake up feeling well rested no matter how little sleep I have gotten. My energy level is incredible! I am now very conscientious of what I eat. I don't eat any processed foods, I am still eating and preparing the recipes from the reset. Instead of craving sugary foods I crave fruits and vegetables! I am still not drinking any caffeinated beverages. I don't ever think about smoking at all! I don't miss any of my old habits!! I really enjoy the new me! I love the way I feel! It is totally amazing!! I am so glad that I decided to try the Ultimate Reset. It has definitely changed my life for the better!

      I am considering the Reset, but trying to find out a little more information…
      What does an example of a days mealplan look like? Did you change your physical activity level while completing the 21 day reset food plan? I am working on the p90x and wondering if the meal plan of the reset is adjustable to reflect that I am requiring a lot of energy in order to do the p90x. And a friend of mine isn’t doing the p90x but would like to just incorporate the reset – will there be any benefit?

      Hey Lori! You can check out http://www.ultimatereset.com for some more information. However, the Reset is intended to be done WITHOUT heavy exercise. We recommend light exercise, so Tai Cheng is a pretty good option for a program while you reset! You also don’t have to be a heavy exercising to do the Reset either, so yes, there would definitely be benefits for your friend. Releasing the toxins, teaching new eating habits… it will probably do a world of wonder for them! Maybe you yourself can do the Ultimate Reset after you finish P90X. Let us know what you think!
